| KDRAMA - Goblin |

SYNOPSIS: Kim Shin, an immortal goblin, aims to find his bride who will able to remove the sword he was killed with in order to finally die and move on in the afterlife.

NON-SPOILERY REVIEW:

I love the fantasy aspect of this kdrama and the way it was shown in the series. The execution of the effects was amazing to see. You can really see that they put a lot of effort and budget for it. Even the fighting scenes in the old era was amazing to see.

The story was enjoyable to watch. It's not the typical romantic comedy. It has a dramatic and heartbreaking aspect that would ruin you. The story didn't progress that much at first so there were parts where I got bored and some scenes seemed unnecessary to me. However, the fun interactions between the characters and the romance between the Goblin and his bride was cute and adorable to see. There were times that the story seemed all over the place but it redeemed itself with its adorable characters and their fun relationships. It was very entertaining to watch especially the reaper and Kim Shin with their bromance. One more problem I have is that some of the character lacked character development. Especially, Eun-taek.

Yoo In Na as always was an amazing actress to watch. She really breaks my heart whenever I watch her and she's so prettyy. Kim Go Eun was able to portray her character well but Yoo In Na was more heartbreaking to watch. I am still shocked by how different her appearance is compared to that of her appearance in Cheese in the Trap (that's the first kdrama I watched her in). The bromance between Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook was really adorable and you could see that they really bonded because of this kdrama.

Overall, it's a really enjoyable kdrama to watch. Each of the lead characters were able to portray their character well and was very entertaining to watch and see progress.

I felt really bad for Kim Shin. It seems that his blessing was really a curse. He had to live hundreds of years seeing his loved ones die and leave him. It must have been very lonely. He wasn't even bad in his original life, he just killed so many people because he was a soldier. He protected his own kingdom. His death was very heartbreaking to watch especially since he just wanted to approach the king and he wasn't able to do so. He died in vain after the king's mind was poisoned by the Eunuch. He had to suffer a lot before he met Eun-tak and continued to suffer even more when they were together. There was always a threat of them being separated. I love him because he was a fun character to watch. He took good care of Eun-tak and his interactions with the other characters were very entertaining to watch.
I did not love Eun-tak but I did like her character. She was a fun character but deep inside you could see that she had problems. Growing up with her abusive family must have hurt badly and having no friends because she can see ghosts must have been terrible. I didn't really see much character development in her that's why I did not love her. Her characteristics were constant all throughout the series but it was fun to watch. I love that she finally got her wishes in the end and was able to live with the one she loves.
My favorite character in this series is the Grim Reaper. Sure, his previous life was a hateful character (Wang Yeo) but you could see that he just misunderstood. He listened to the lies of the Eunuch but regretted the choices he made afterwards. He was very devastated that he made cowardly choices. He made terrible decisions in the past but he tried to make up for it in the present making his character not that terrible. It was very heartbreaking to see when he finally confirmed that he's Wang Yeo because he knew that Kim Shin would hate him.
Sunny was an aloof character that made no sense in the beginning but she was very kind to Eun-tak. As the story progressed, her part in the story became more heartbreaking. I was glad to see that the actress who portrayed her was Yoo In Na because Yoo In Na is very heartbreaking to watch when she cries. Her character made my heart ache so much. Her love for Wang Yeo was really deep that even in different lifetimes she fell for him.
The Samshin Granny was a cool character. I liked how she helped Eun-tak during her difficult times and even showed up to her graduation because she knew Eun-tak would be alone. I also loved how she made the teacher realize that she's a terrible person.
Secretary Kim was an adorable character. I loved his interactions with the other characters plus the scene where he acted different dances of different kpop bands was hilarious. I was glad to see that he became CEO after the original one died.
Deok-hwa was a fun character. His character could have been given more screen time but it was fun altogether. He somewhat matured during the latter half of the series (after his grandfather died) but it was still not enough for me.
Eun-tak's abusive family was really hateful to watch. I was glad when Kim Shin decided to get them away from Eun-tak. He gave Eun-tak justice and helped her with her life.
Eunuch Park was a really hateful character. He was so greedy that he poisoned the mind of Wang Yeo and killed everyone who wanted to separate him away from the crown. He didn't care for Wang Yeo and only used him as a tool to have power. He was even scarier as a ghost and I'm glad that they were able to defeat him.
Eun-tak's teacher was really an asshole. I don't get why there are teachers like that. It's not like Eun-tak had a rebel reputation. Some students just bully her and blame her for things. I don't get why she thinks Eun-tak is a bad girl. She has a twisted mind. I also hate Eun-tak's classmate. Why are there so much bully in the world?
I was glad that Eun-tak had some friends even if they were ghosts. They were able to protect her at some point (against the bully in school and against her Aunt). I was glad that she was able to help some move on even if one of them almost caused her death.

Kim Shin and Eun-tak's relationship was really wonderful to watch. At first, Eun-tak just kept bothering him because he's the goblin and she's the goblin bride but as the story progressed I loved that they began to really care for each other. They were really cute together and I'm glad that they ended up together. They had to go through many hardships especially since death won't leave them alone. It was very heartbreaking to see Kim Shin fade away and leave Eun-tak. Her depression was more heartbreaking because she doesn't know why she felt that way. She can't remember who or what she forgot. I was glad that they were reunited.
Sunny and Wang Yeo's love story was more tragic. They had a bittersweet love. You could see that they really loved each other during their previous life but the Eunuch got in the way. Wang Yeo listened to him because he was raised by him. He was blinded by jealousy and did not realize that what he was doing was wrong. I was really saddened by the fact that they separated during that lifetime but it was appropriate. Sunny couldn't give him what they wanted because she still feels that they should not end up together because of what he had done. I love though that at her third reincarnation, they were finally together without any strings attached. They were an adorable couple and their ending was really great.
Kim Shin and Sunny's interactions were really cute in the past life. It broke my heart when Sunny died and Kim Shin wasn't able to protect her. I was glad that they were somewhat reunited in the present life. It was funny to see Kim Shin trying to approach Sunny because he knew that he's his sister but she didn't. I loved it when Sunny finally remembered and they were able to have apologize to each other. Their relationship could have been expanded more though in order to make it more beautiful.
The bromance between Wang Yeo and Kim Shin was the highlight of this kdrama. I love seeing their childish fightings. They fought a lot but grew to care for one another as the series progressed. They helped each other a lot and I'm glad when Kim Shin finally forgave him. It broke my heart to find out that the Reaper was Wang Yeo because he's the reason why Kim Shin became a goblin. It broke his heart because he knew that Kim Shin would get mad at him.
The bond between the Reaper, Kim Shin, and Eun-tak was another adorable thing to watch. You could see that the Reaper grew to came for Eun-tak too because he always gave Kim Shin her death note so that Kim Shin could save her. He was there to tell Eun-tak the truth about the sword and helped them when they had a misunderstanding. Together, they were an adorable and fun trio.

The death of Eun-tak's mom was one of the first heartbreaking things to see here. It broke my heart when Eun-tak realized that it was her mom's spirit who greeted her during her birthday. Being able to see ghosts enabled them to say their goodbyes.
I loved the episode where Kim Shin kept bothering the Reaper to ask for his opinion about his outfits.
I loved the episode where Kim Shin and the Reaper went to Eun-tak's rescue when she was kidnapped by the debt collectors. It was a cool scene to watch.
I felt sad for Kim Shin when he had a premonition of Eun-tak having dinner in a restaurant in Quebec in the future with a guy. I was devastated at first because he thought she met another guy in the future and is able to live happy without him. However, near the end we find out that he's the guy that she's waiting for and he was really cute to see. He was so happy because of that.
I wonder why Eun-tak didn't say that she could see the sword at first. The sword thing was really weird because at first she couldn't pull it. Maybe, Kim Shin needed to fall for her more (which is very twisted because she'll cause his death). When she finally was able to, I was scared because she really tried to pull it out that fast. Kim Shin caused a massive accident because he didn't warn her properly and he didn't want to die yet.
I love the episode where Eun-tak and Kim Shin watched Train to Busan. 1) Gong Yoo starred in that and it was fun to see him overreact to his own show. 2) His reactions were really loud and absurd which embarrased Eun-tak a lot in the cinema. It was a pretty hilarious scene.
I love that the reapers had to blend in the real world. They had to eat, live, and earn money in order to survive. I liked the fact that the reason why they became reapers is because they committed suicide. They had to learn to love life and appreciate what they took before being able to move on. It was a pretty funny scene when they used their hats to leave a restaurant and put all the blame towards Wang Yeo.
Seeing the Reaper cry towards the Jade Ring and the portrait of Kim Sun broke my heart. You could see that he had unresolved issues deep inside and many regrets that's why his heartbroke. It was also heartbreaking when we find out that the portrait was drawn by him before he died.
Jung-hyun, the ghost that was Eun-tak's mother's friend was a really wonderful ghost. She stayed on Earth just so she could protect Eun-tak's bankbooks. She was a wonderful friend and her farewell words toward Eun-tak was pretty perfect and heartbreaking.
The scene where the Samshin Granny gave Kim Shin the ultimatum while Reaper told Eun-tak the truth about the sword was perfect. You could see how conflicted they are about the decisions they had to make since they don't want to be separated from another.
It was funny to think that at first they thought that the Reaper's past life was that of Kim Shin's sister. They made him try to call Kim Shin, "Oraboni".
I love that the Reaper kept telling Kim Shin whenever he receives a death note about Eun-tak so that he could prevent the death. It was the perfect way to cheat death but of course, death still won in the end (kind of like Final Destination). They could only delay the inevitable.
I loved the episode where a motorcycle driver told Kim Shin and the Reaper to get out of the way because they were walking slowly and fabulously on the road.
I love that the Class President gave Eun-tak her number during graduation and became friends with her. I was glad to see that they hanged out together in the future.
I love the episode where Kim Shin remembered that he had a vision of Eun-tak long before she was born. It was really adorable and sweet.
The episode where Eun-tak confronted the husband of one of her ghost friend made me really panic. I mean really, who would confront a guy in fire exit of a building where he could easily push you off? How stupid can you get especially since death was after her.
It was shocking to see the part where Deok-hwa was possessed by God (?).
The death of Deok-hwa's grandfather was heartbreaking to watch. You could see how hurt Kim Shin was of because what happened. I was glad that Eun-tak was there to help him. I was also devastated for Deok-hwa because he loved his grandfather even if they didn't see eye to eye sometimes.
I was glad to see that Kim Shin was able to encounter his second in command, Kim Woo-Shik in the present lifetime and rewarded him greatly for his loyalty.
I was devastated during the part where the Reaper made Sunny remember her past and told her to forget all the parts that made her sad only for it to backfire since all the parts were happy for her even if she was suffering as long as Wang Yeo was there. It broke my heart because she really loved him even if he made idiotic decisions.
I cried in Episode 14. I knew they had to defeat the Eunuch. I knew that Kim Shin would probably need to die but it didn't make it any easier. Eun-tak wanted to sacrifice herself because she knew that the Eunuch would possess her. She wanted Kim Shin to kill her before she kills him. Eventually, Kim Shin personally removed the sword using Eun-tak's hands and uses the sword the defeat the Eunuch. The mini-victory though did not seem much of a victory especially since Kim Shin faded into nothingness afterwards.
I was sad that during the nine years they were separated, the Reaper and Eun-tak had to suffer alone because the memories with Kim Shin were removed by God.
I was amazed that Sunny was able to keep her memory of the truth. It's just sad though that she knew all this time and probably felt sad for Eun-tak because she couldn't remember.
I felt really devastated for Kim Shin when no one recognized him after he came back. Only the Reaper. I love the apology he said to Kim Shin after his return:

"I’m too late, so late. I should’ve said it nine years ago, nine hundred years ago, but I hope you’ll forgive the words I say now: Forgive me for not protecting you, who protected my lover and my Goryeo. Forgive me for receiving love but not loving anyone."

I felt that the trigger for Eun-tak to remember Kim Shin was lacking. However, I still felt really happy that they were finally reunited. His proposal to her was just perfect and their marriage was really wonderful.
Eun-tak's aunt being annoying even when she's dead was something I hated. I find it quite nice though that one of the ghosts took her away from Eun-tak. I love her for that.
Seeing as all the lose ends were tied with and there were still lots of time, you knew that shit would go down before the last episode ended. It broke my heart when Eun-tak died especially since she wasn't meant to die. It was just the goodness in her who won and made her sacrifice herself in order to protect many children. I hope that act will help her become something else that could join the Goblin for all eternity. It broke my heart to see Kim Shin cry but he swore that he would wait for her to get reincarnated.
I was glad that during the fresh moments when Eun-tak died, Kim Shin had the reaper to comfort him. However, it was devastating when the reaper had to go and he even had Sunny with him. I was glad that they were able to move on to the afterlife together. They were finally able to resolve their issues and move on in peace.
I was really happy with the ending because I'm a sucker for reincarnation stories. I was glad that Eun-tak and Kim Shin were reunited and that Eun-tak remembered everything because she didn't drink the tea of oblivion.

| ANIME - Tamako Market |

SYNOPSIS: A talking bird named Dera, wanders in the Usagiyama Shopping District. He meets Tamako and decides to stay with her while looking for a bride for his prince. The story follows, Tamako, Dera, her friends and family in their every lives.

NON-SPOILERY REVIEW:

Tamako Market is a rather fun to watch anime. It's very easy to watch and entertaining. Although, there aren't any or much character development, the cuteness of the characters (especially Dera) would make you want to finish the anime. The bond between the characters are adorable and really heartwarming. It focused more on the friendships rather than romance. Although, it could have been expanded more to give the character more background and character development. Some of the characters weren't even explored or mentioned much (like Mochizo's friends). With it's short number of episodes, if you just want to have fun and enjoy something - you should definitely watch this.

In addition to that, you should also watch the sequel movie, "Tamako Love Story" which is a sort off continuation of this anime and adorable one at that. I watched that first before I watched this and it was fun even though I didn't know much of the characters. Watching the movie first, gave me background on the characters on this anime (of course, it would work vice-versa) and allowed me to enjoy every bit of it.

Tamako was a really cute character that was fun to watch. Her hair reminded me of Tenma from School Rumble for some reason. I love how friendly she is and how much she helps her family. She loves taking care of others but she could be quite dense sometimes especially when it involves others' feelings. I love that in the movie, she was able to tell Mochizo how she felt even after days of avoiding him. Midori was able to push her to finally admit how she felt using a white lie.
Mochizo was such a minor character in the anime. Though we were told how much he loves Tamako, he wasn't really able to show it in the anime. There weren't any backgrounds (visual backgrounds) on how he developed those feelings except that they grew up together. I love that he was finally able to admit how he felt for Tamako in the movie and was shocked when she finally caught the cup they used for conversations.
Dera was such a fun character and a cute one at that. I love how much Tamako's father hates his last same because it sounds something like mochi is disgusting. I love how much he cares for his girls and how he decided on his own to protect Tamako from the prince so that she would be able to stay in Usagiyama. I grew rather fond of him even though he was quite proud of himself at some points. I love that he has a crush on Shiori.
Midori was a really adorable character. I love how much she loves her friends and was finally able to open up to them in the episode where she had a block about the routines they were going to use for the festival. I love how protective she is of Tamako (even if it was because she liked Tamako) and how worried she was when they thought Tamako was the prince's bride.
Kanna was also adorable. I love how aloof she is and yet she is able to help her friends when they are in need. Her love of building things was quite awesome.
I love Choi but I felt sad for her. You could see that she loves the prince more than she realizes and I would like for them to end up together. I love that she became close with the people in the Usagiyama district but I was sad when she left.
For me, Shiori had the most character development all throughout the series. At first, she started as someone who was shy and couldn't talk to others properly yet by half of the anime, she was able to interact properly with Tamako and her friends and even joined their gang.
All throughout the anime I thought that Michiko was Mochizo's sister and not his mother. She looked really young.
I love the shopkeepers in Usagiyama. I love how friendly they are and how much they care for one another especially Tamako.
I love Fuku even though he acted strict towards his family. He was quite a traditionalist but deep inside he had a warm heart. I love the episode when his backstory with his wife was showed. How he confessed to her when he though she was confessing first and how he made a song for her which Tamako hummed.
I love seeing how thin Dera was in the beginning and how fat he became even before the episode ended. It was sad when he had to diet and everyone was worried for him and tried to sneak him food. I'm glad that even though he was still fat in the end, it worked out just as long as he was able to fly (which he was able to).
I felt sad for Mochizo because he wasn't able to tell Tamako of his feelings. Midori blocked him. He wasn't able to give his gift to Tamako for quite some years which had been stocked up in his room all this time.
I love seeing how happy Tamako was when she finally got the medal that she wanted and how the prince was able to give it back to her.
I felt sad for Mochizo when they all thought that Tamako was the prince's bride. You could see how much it broke his heart but Tamako's happiness comes for him first. As long as Tamako's happy, he'll be alright.
I felt sad for Tomio but you could see that he was alright as long as Sayuri was happy.
I love the records guy. I love how the music that he plays was appropriate to every scenario that he was shown. I also love that he was the one who was able to show Tamako and the others about the song that Tamako kept on humming.

| KDRAMA - Oh My Ghostess |

"If people knew when death was coming and could say goodbye, how nice would that be? It's just not possible and that's why life is this way. That's why you've got to live each day hard like it's precious."

SYNOPSIS: A woman who can see ghosts got possessed by a lustful virgin ghost named, Shin Soon-ae. The ghost aims to move on to the afterlife by resolving her, "grudge" which is to lose her virginity.

NON-SPOILERY REVIEW:
This kdrama really took an interesting path. At first, I thought it would just be the typical fun romantic-comedy type. I did not think it was going to go down a twisted and dark road. There were plot twists that were really shocking, disturbing, and heartbreaking. The romance was indeed fun but there were bittersweet moments. There were some scenes that felt unnecessary for me especially in the beginning and some scenes that was rushed. The main plot took a kind of slow pacing and most of the climax had to be fit near the end of the Kdrama. However, the cast was really fun to watch. The lead actresses were able to portray their role well. They would break your heart but they would also make you happy. It was very entertaining. Overall, I would recommend others to watch it because it is rather fun and worth the watch.

The Blogger Mom in the first episode was really infuriating. She scolded Bong sun even though it was his son who was at fault. She even insulted Eun-hee.
I feel bad for Bong-sun at first. She got scolded. Lost her home. And was even possessed by a ghost. How unlucky can you get?
I love seeing Kim Seul-gie as Soon-ae. I loved her back in Flower Boy Next Door even though she was just a minor character. I love how she played Soon-ae. It was fun and hilarious. It was sad though that Soon-ae had to wander the earth as a ghost with amnesia. She didn't even know how to move on to the afterlife because of it.
Park Bo Young acting as Soon ae was really funny to watch. Especially when she lusts after the male characters. She's an amazing actress who could switch from the silent, timid Bong-sun to the loud Soon ae. She broke my heart during some scenes.
I love that Soon-ae got stuck as the assistant to Sun-woo. It was amazing when she remembered that she used to cook and that's why she was able to cope up easily.
It was heartbreaking to see Soon-ae remember some of her past - especially when she remembered her family. She wanted to stay by them but couldn't because she was inside Bong-sun's body. They wouldn't be able to recognize her. It was also heartbreaking when she saw that the restaurant didn't look as it did when she was alive. You could see that her father was really devastated by her death especially since they thought she committed suicide.
Sun-woo was such a nice character. Sure he was arrogant outside but deep inside he was kind. He just protected himself with his jerkiness. I love how he cared for Bong-sun because she was just like him in the past. I love how he became super protective of Bong-sun and took care of her all the time.
It's cute to see that Soon-ae had a crush on Sung-jae way before she possessed Bong-sun. It's devastating though when she found out he was now married to Eun-hee and that he was the one who killed her.
Seeing Kang Ki-Young here was funny because I just watched him in Weightlifting Fairy. Sure he was a jerk at times but his character is still funny.
It's funny every time Soon-ae hides from the Medium especially since Sun-woo's mother keeps on hanging out with her.
The bond between the employees and Sun-woo was fun to see especially when they made up and became closer.
Every time Soon-ae tries to seduce Sun-woo was funny.
Sung-jae's character was too perfect at first. I did not think that he was really that perfect and I found him quite suspicious. Things started to go wrong when the Medium started to give hints that something was wrong with him and when he left Soon-ae's dad who had collapsed.
I was devastated for Bong-sun when she woke up weeks later and realized Soon-ae possessed her for that long. She didn't know what had happened during those days and she was scared.
It was funny when they thought Bong-sun had bipolar disorder from the way she was acting. Sun-woo even took care of her because he thinks it's his fault.
Soon-ae/Bong-sun was really cute with Sun-woo. However, it gets confusing because you don't really know at first which of the Bong-sun's he really likes. It was a bittersweet moment when Soon-ae realized she really loved and cared for Sun-woo but Sun-woo cannot see her physically. It's devastating to know that she died young and never got to experience her own love story and had to live it through Bong-sun.
It was scary when Soon-ae almost turned into a malevolent ghost. It was sad because she still doesn't know how she'll be able to move on before she became a malevolent ghost. I'm glad that the medium let her go. She cared for Soon-ae enough to let her resolve her grudge on her own an hope that she wouldn't become a malevolent ghost.
I love it when Soon-ae and Bong-sun finally made an arrangement and Soon-ae updated Bong-sun of what had happened during the times she was possessed. It would have been nice if they got to bond more. I love that Soon-ae grew to take care of Bong-sun that the moment she hurt Bong-sun was the moment she decided to back off. I'm glad that Soon-ae was able to help Bong-sun break out of her shell and became more open on interacting with others. With her help, Bong-sun was able to live her life well.
I love it when So-hyung and Soon-ae were fighting on who would get to see Sun-woo during the night and Soon-ae won.
I felt bad for Officer Hwang. He died because just he wanted to help his friend who didn't know was a psycho.
Sung-jae's backstory was a real tragic one. Getting neglected and beaten up is a bad thing to experience while growing up and because of this he attracted a malevolent spirit who took residence in his body and began to manifest in his daily life.
I am still confused about Eun-hee and Sung-jae's relationship. Sure, Eun-hee really cared for him but what was Sung-jae's motive for helping Eun-hee? Was he genuinely guilty for having caused her paralysis or is it something more? He seemed to genuinely care for her in the end but it was still confusing since we don't know which part of Sung-jae was true. Was it his sweet side? The sadistic side? Or was it just done by the malevolent ghost? It's rather shocking to see him alive in the end even though he had amnesia.
It was a heartbreaking scene before Soon-ae moved on to the afterlife when Sun-woo thanked her and told her sorry that her knowing about Eun-hee's accident was the reason for her death. I was glad that Bong-sun told Sun-woo the truth about Soon-ae and she didn't move on without him acknowledging her. I'm glad that even though they didn't really end up together, Sun-woo knew how she felt.
I was cringing at the scene where Bong-sun told Sung-jae about Soon-ae's diary since we knew that Sung-jae killed her. It was devastating when Soon-ae remembered why and how she died. How she witnessed Eun-hee's hit and run and decided to tell the very officer who caused the accident. He killed her and made it look like a suicide.
I'm glad that Bong-sun told Sun-woo about Soon-ae. I'm glad that her character was honest and she didn't want to end up with Sun-woo if Sun-woo really fell in love with the Soon-ae inside her. I'm glad that they were able to reconcile even though it was somewhat rushed and they were adorable together. They were able to mend their relationship and take things to a new level.
I love how Soon-ae was able to take care of her family through Bong-sun and her family doing the same thing to Bong-sun. I'm glad that her father had a surrogate daughter to take care of.
I felt really bad for Daddy Soon-ae. It broke his heart that he missed a call from Bong-sun during the night she died. It broke him to find out that the very person who he was taking care of for three years was the one who killed his daughter. I'm glad that Soon-ae was able to save him and he was able to see her again.
Soon-ae being sent off was a very heartbreaking scene and something that she really deserved. She wouldn't have deserved to be a malevolent spirit because the reason why she died was honest and pure. I'm glad that she was able to move on satisfied to the afterlife.
The bond between Soon-ae and the Medium made me really happy. Even though at first she was a problem to the Medium, they were able to develop their relationship and the Medium grew to care for her. She could sense that Soon-ae was a good ghost and wanted to help her not to become a malevolent spirit. I love her support to Soon-ae in the end and her worry when Soon-ae wouldn't move after she realized her love for Sun-woo.
The ending made me happy. Even though the trope of going abroad was overused, it was a good thing for Bong-sun because she was able to develop more her skills and characteristics during the time she was separated from Sun-woo. She was able to expand her knowledge.
I was really shocked by Seo In Geuk's cameo! He was so cute.
Stalker the dog having a family was really wonderful and cute to see.

NON-SPOILERY REVIEW: The kdrama itself is very entertaining to watch. It's a romantic comedy that can give you many feels. There were somewhat hard topics that were mentioned and were tried to be used in the kdrama which amazed me. Each episode was amusing to watch for me and I think I didn't get bored on any of them. There were character developments for each of the major characters which was great. I love the lead characters and some of the minor ones. The lead characters were very amusing and the progress of their relationship was very fun and touching to see. Kim Sun-A and Lee Jang Woo are amazing actors who were able to portray their roles well. They were very cute together and you would totally ship them. Ji-an's struggle to choose between her career and her child was a beautiful journey to watch since you can see that she cares for both. The ending was great and something that you would expect to see. Overall, it was a great watch and I would totally recommend others to watch it.

SPOILERY THOUGHTS ABOUT:

In the early episodes, I hated the part where everyone ditched Ji-an when she told them they should eat dinner out. Team Leader Ma is excused because she's a mom, but the others. They were wrong and they should have tried not to judge Ji-an so much.
I love that there were many shoes in Ji-an's room. I love the room and I would like the same thinggg. Also, I love Na-Ri and Ji-an's outfits. They were both fabulous and their wardrobes were amazing.
The scene where Ji-an found out that Tae-Kang was the one she backed up on during contest was funny. Their reactions and what they did next was hilarious.
I love that the show originally pushed Ji-an to become a single mother. I love that she wasn't ashamed of her pregnancy and did not need someone to cover up what she had done by getting together with her. She did not allow Eun-Sung to marry her so that she could still have the chairman position. She did not prioritize her image over her pregnancy. Being a single mother is not an easy thing and it was great that they wanted Ji-an to become an independent character who doesn't need any man. It was hilarious when she sent those flowers to Madame Jang just to annoy the woman.
I love seeing flashbacks of younger Ji-an. When she was new at the company and she did her best to get to where she is now. I love how fierce and competitive she is. She was able to achieve her goal which is good for her.
I love the scene where Eun-sung took her to the babies in the baby ward. I love how she realized she wanted to keep the baby after Eun-sung took her to the baby in the incubator who held her finger.
I love the scenes where Ji-an kept interrupting the employees who are gossiping about her. They run away in panic and she's just there having a reaction of her own (to the image where her face was put on a pregnant woman in a bikini).
I hate the scenes where Madame Jang kept abusing Na-ri. Na-ri was not the best character in the world but she didn't deserve the abuse that Madame Jang was giving her. I hate the scene where she knelt down in front of Madame Jang only to be shrugged off by her. I also hated the scene where she thought Madame Jang was having dinner with her but she was set up on a blind date with an asshole.
The scene where her friend suggested that she had an abortion was realistic. Real life situations where used in the show and I'm glad it was talked about. I'm glad that Ji-an did not push through with (of course if she did, there wouldn't be any show right?).
I love that Ji-an craved pig's feet all throughout her pregnancy and kept bothering Tae-kang to get some for her whenever she wants one. I love how he set up Eun-sung to take cooking lessons about the pig's feet for Ji-an. His willingness to take responsibility of his child was wonderful to see.
Omg Taae-kang figuring out that the photo in Ji-an's car was an ultrasound picture. I love seeing Tae-kang taking care of Ji-an when he first found out and he thought it was his child.
Jun-hee's daughter is so cute. I love seeing how Ji-an imagine that her child would be like her. It was an adorable scene.
When Tae-kang and Eun-sung first met, they interacted while waiting for a woman. It was a ironic since they were both waiting for the same woman.
It broke my heart when Ji-an told her parents about her pregnancy and her father wanted her to terminate it. Although, halfway, her mother took care of her at some point and became more fierce. And in the end, the grandparents bonded and argued about the baby.
The scenes where Tae-kang imagined what Eun-sung and Ji-an were doing was hilarious.
One of the flaw of this show was that the pacing was kind of slow. It took quite a long time for the pregnancy to progress. It was in the latter half of the show because Tae-kang found out. The episodes afterwards were really great and adorable to watch.
I love that Ji-an nicknamed the baby ankles because that's her favorite part of her body.
The shoes Tae-kang redesigned from Na-ri's shoes was really pretty.
I LOVE THE EPISODE WHERE TAE-KANG TRIED HEELS. He even put on a wig and a female outfit just so he could perfect the feeling. He was pretty and it was pretty funny.
I love that Ji-an decided to teach Tae-kang even though she really didn't like him at first. I love that he took that role seriously. His effort was great and it amazed Ji-an.
I love the episode where Tae-kang went out with Ji-an to look at fabrics(?). They were really adorable together and he even carried her to her bedroom when he realized how tired she is. Hehehehe I am mean but I love that Eun-sung got to see that so that he could face reality.
I love that Tae-kang saw that Ji-an kept the eraser shoes that he made and her sketches of him!! I love how their relationship progressed in that episode (10) and they even kissed! Omg so adorable.
I loved how Tae-kang ate everything that Ji-an cooked even though it didn't taste good. It was an adorable and hilarious scene.
I felt worried about Ji-an when she found out their sample was ruined. I was glad that Tae-kang's father volunteered to help them out in the end and was able to remedy the damage done to the sample. They even won in the end which was well deserved because damn that shoe was pretty.
I love that Tae-kang proposed to Ji-an and she was finally able to tell him the truth. His reactions were really appropriate. His questions about why she didn't tell him broke my heart. I'm glad to see that they were able to move past that and get back together.
I hate the part where Ji-an was forced to resign because Tae-kang was being used as a blackmail against her. It wasn't fair but you could see that she really wants Tae-kang's future to be brighter.
I love the episode where Eun-sung went to a blind date where he does his usual tricks to get rid of women like putting on mascara and the mommy routine and it didn't get rid of the woman. I love that he got Tae-kang as a backup. It was hilarious.
I love seeing Ji-an fix problems in the company. You could see how great she is at her job and how much she cares about it.
I love that Tae-kang's father supported them when he found out the truth. I love that he wore the same outfit as Tae-kang and Ji-an when they decidedly to make their relationship public. It was such a cute and fun scene. Ji-an's team even somewhat redeemed themselves when they decided to join the couple during lunch.
I love Na-ri's character development in the end when she declared her support for Ji-an to be the chairman and backed down. I love Madame Jang's reaction to that.
I love that Ji-an was able to achieve her dream even if it was just for a little while. She became chairman and was even able to support Tae-kang in his shop after a while.
I really love the last episode. I love that Ji-an proposed to Tae-kang just as she was about to give birth.

Ji-an is an amazing character who started from a woman who's kind of cold hearted and mean (since she doesn't let anyone in) to someone who genuinely cares for others and appreciates them. I love that she's a strong independent woman all throughout the series and you can really see the change brought to her by her pregnancy and her realizing how lonely she's been living her life. She came to realize how important relationships are and how to take care of them.
Tae-Kang is a very adorable and entertaining character to watch. He started from being sort of a rebel or bad boy to someone who really cares for others. I love that he became sort of a serious character when it came to his future with Ji-an in the end.
Na-Ri I think is just a misunderstood character. Sure she was meant to be the antagonist at some point but I really didn't feel that. I felt like she was just someone who wanted approval in life. She was just selfish at some points but she didn't mean to hurt anyone. I love that in the end she fought for what she wanted and realized that Madame Jang did not deserve her. She became someone who fought for herself and followed her dreams.
Eun-Sung at random points was kind of creepy but overall I thought that he was a great character. I never did ship him with Ji-an but I liked that he was her friend. He supported her when she needed it and was willing to help her whenever she was in trouble. I love the way he tries to push away women he meets during blind dates by pretending to be someone women wouldn't like.
Madame Jang was such a weird character. She was selfish and a bitch. She was really the main antagonist for me. Like, what was the point of grooming Ji-an if in the end you would throw her away? Just so someone other than Na-Ri would get the chairman position? What a bitch. She had everything in life but she wasn't happy. I think she was just bitter.
I love Tae-Kang's father and Bong Soo. They were funny characters that made the series more entertaining to watch.
I did not like any of the person in Ji-an's team except for Team Leader Ma. They had no loyalty and always talked her behind her back.

NON-SPOILERY REVIEW: This is the first traditional setting kdrama I finished in my life and it was worth it. I kept seeing commercials of it on tv that's why I decided to watch it and it did not fail me. It was very entertaining to watch. Each episode had their twist and turns. The characters were fun and adorable (except of course for the villains). There are many heartbreaking scenes that made me cry. I think I cried 5 times which is a big thing for me since I do not really cry that much because of a show. Plus, all of the prince are good looking! So many familiar faces here like Kang Ha Neul, Nam Joo Hyuk, IU, and Ji Soo. The story was very interesting and I'm glad that I chose to watch it. Also, their costumes are quite pretty. Although the main time travel concept was quite weird and some events were confusing, it was still time well spent. I had no regrets after watching this. That ending though! Oh my god.

Queen Yoo is quite a terrible mother and quite insane. I don't understand why she kept turning So away. It's also terrible to find out that So's scar came from his own mother.

Madam Hae is a very wonderful character and it broke my heart to see her die especially since she died in Wook's arms. I love that she cared for Soo so much that she sacrificed her own happiness. It also broke my heart that Wook never got to tell her his true feelings for her and she died without ever hearing that he loved her. I was curious as to why she's so close to Baek-ah.

So and Soo's interactions at first were full of arguments. I love seeing their relationship develop and I was really happy when they got together even though it was quite sad for Wook. It broke my heart that they didn't end up together especially since Soo thought that So didn't love her anymore. I wanted to see them end up together in the future time but the ending was a bitch!

Yeon-hwa was quite a bitch character. I really didn't like her and I hate that she became queen. Even though she's Wook's sister, she's nothing like him. She's manipulative and evil. I know she had a backstory (the one related to Queen Yoo) but I really hated her. I hated how she treated Soo.

I love Wang Eun and Soo's relationship. I love how they met. I love how Eun thought she liked him at first. I love how they treated each other, comforted each other, and made each other happy. Although I did not ship them, I liked their friendship. I felt bad for Eun when he proposed to her but she did not accept.

I really shipped Soo and Wook at first. I really love their relationship together but I felt bad for Madam Hae. She could tell that they liked each other but she loved Wook and wanted him to be happy. Her own selflessness enabled the two to get together but they didn't last. I hated that Wook broke Soo's trust and her heart. I know it's for his family at first but later on, it was because of his greed for the crown. He didn't fight for Soo and let her go.

I liked Jung and Soo together too. I did not ship them as much as I shipped Soo with Wook and So but I liked them together. I feel terrible for Jung in the end because even though he was in love with Soo, he knew that Soo really loved So. He cared for and married her and even took care of Soo and So's child. He's a very selfless character that should be admired. Even though he's the brother of the main villain and the son of the psycho Queen - he's nothing like them.

I thought that this show aired in tvN at first because Kim Sung Kyun and Sung Dong II are there.

I love that Soo's reply to Wook's poem was an emoji. It was a very cute scene and I like that some of the prince tried to do the same pose and that it was So who realized what that symbol meant.

It's very weird to see that Soo almost married the king. It was fun seeing the princes try to save her although she saved herself even if it resulted to her being punished because of what she did.

I liked Soo and Baek-ah bond too. I love that even though Baek-ah did not like Soo at first, they developed their friendship later on. I wanted more of the backstory of how they became close but it's sad that they became close because of Madam Hae's death.

Wang Eun's birthday is one of my favorite scenes. He's really adorable and I love that they prepared a celebration just for his birthday and even Soo got to attend.

I love the episode where Soo hid So's scar using make up just to make the people like him. It's was such a bitch slap to the face of all the people who used to look down on So. It was quite terrible though that with the scar they kept judging him and throwing things at him but without the scar, they bowed to him.

I hated that after helping him, visions of So murdering his own brothers kept appearing to Soo causing her to be afraid of him. I felt bad for So and for Soo.

I hated that Queen Yoo and Yeon-hwa tried to use So as a scapegoat yet again. I felt bad for So because holding out on the poison didn't work in protecting Soo. Yeon-hwa was such a bitch for drinking the poison just to frame Soo.

I hated Wook after he abandoned Soo. I know that it was because of his family but he promised. I felt bad for Soo especially since Lady Oh just shared with her how she was abandoned by her own love. I hate that Wook wasn't brave enough to push their love. He prioritized the crown.

Lady Oh sacrificing for Soo was such a heartbreaking scene especially when Lady Oh told the king herself what she plans to do. You could see that the king really did not want to execute Lady Oh but it was her dying request. I felt terrible that even though they were the ones who really loved each other, Lady Oh is not the queen. It's also heartbreaking to find out why Lady Oh was sick. Damn, Queen Yoo for sabotaging the king's true happiness with Lady Oh by killing her child.

I felt really bad for Soo all throughout the series. She endured many things but survived because she really wanted to live. She endured humiliation, torture, and many heartbreaking things. Even though she left So, you can't blame her because she's already experienced so many bad things and did not want that to happen to So too.

Omg. The scene where Baek-ah takes the sword meant for the king. You could tell that he didn't want Woo Hee to get in trouble even if it meant injuring himself.

The king's death was also heartbreaking. He kept Soo near because she reminded him of her Lady Oh. It was a very bittersweet ending when the king died but his last words was Lady Oh's name which angered Queen Yoo (GOOD DAMN IT).

I was fine with how things ended by episode 13 (where Yo died) but I was like, daaaaamn since it's just the 13th episode - I know more things are going to come down and things aren't finished yet. I just wanted them to be happy.

I was glad that during Wang Mu's reign So and Soo had some happy moments. Soo became the head of the Damiwon which made me happy since she became Lady Oh's sort off heir.

The next events happened really fast since not even one episode had lasted and there goes Yo again. I was shocked to see him alive but then again, who would become the villain? I feel really bad for Wang Mu since he was a great and nice character and would have probably been a good king if the people near him weren't trying to kill him all the time and finally, in this episode they succeeded. It was a heartbreaking scene because no one was able to do anything to save him.

The way Yu framed Soo again and used her against So was really unfair. I felt really bad for her because their love was corrupted and abused.

Wang Won was the prince I hated the most. I hated how he betrayed his family and his goals weren't really that clear. I hated that he could smile towards his other brothers while in truth, he was betraying them. At least Yo was outright evil. I hated how he manipulated Chae Ryung to do his bidding just because she loved him.

It really broke my heart when Wang Eun and Park Soon-Duk were killed. I hate Yo for ordering their death just because he wanted a scapegoat. I hate him for making So kill Eun even if it was his wish especially since Wang Eun and Park Soon-Duk just became closer in the previous scene. Park Soon-Duk could have been spared but huhuhu. I cry. They were an adorable pair and I loved them together.

I hate that So and Soo had to pretend not to be together because of Yo but I love the scene where they stayed together for one night and they were really happy then.

I love that they were finally able to overthrow Yo. However, I knew that being the king would not be able to support their love since lately being the king results to bad things. I'm glad though that at first, So was able to keep Baek-ah and Soo with him. He was happy even if it was just for a time being.

Damn you Wook for ruining So and Soo's happiness just because you can't be king and you don't have Soo.

I love that even though it was unreasonable, So tried to fight for Soo. He rose to the throne in order to live with Soo rather than what Wook did. Wook told Soo that he wanted the crown for Soo and his family but he never did anything for Soo after he abandoned her. Meanwhile, So tried to fight for Soo.

Their date outside the palace - one of the cutest scenes yet heartbreaking since she rejected So's proposal.

Ugh Yeon Hwa became queen but haha because So walked out after the wedding.

Queen Yoo's death was very heartbreaking for So. Even at her deathbed she didn't want him. She only wanted Jung. I feel bad for Jung because he wasn't able to stay with his mother.

I felt bad for Chae-ryung. She didn't deserve to die because she was manipulated by Won but she deserved to be punished because she really was one of the main reasons why So and Soo cannot be together. She did many villainous acts.

I feel bad because So and Soo could've been together if Soo wasn't so stubborn. She could stayed with him when he proposed that she becomes an official concubine and would have been queen if she bore a child.

I'm still really confused as to why Woo Hee died. It broke my heart to see Baek-ah because he loved her too much and he saw her just before she committed suicide and he wasn't able to save her. *The night before things went downhill was really cute.

I felt bad when Wook was framed for the dead hawk but he kind of deserved it. He was a pretty mean character on the second half of the show but I'm glad Soo begged So not to execute Wook.

Yeon Hwa is still an asshole for blaming things to Soo. I mean, yeah sure some of the things were Soo's fault but it was Yeon Hwa who pushed Wook too far. It wasn't because of Soo.

I really love Jung for being so selfless and marrying Soo just to get her out of the palace. I love that he didn't demand anything for payment. He just wanted Soo to be free. I felt bad for him after Soo died because you can really see that he loved her even if it was just one-sided.

I'm really confused as to why So thought that Soo betrayed him. He knew Soo loved someone before he tried to pursue her. He just couldn't accept that it was Wook (well, yeah, I can see why since Wook did so many horrible things to separate them) but it's not like she'll ever return to Wook.

I hate that So broke off connections with them after he received news that they were kind of lovey-dovey. However, it broke my heart when I saw how devastated So was because of Soo's death. He's an idiot though for not even bothering to open Jung's letters - Why the hell would Jung send so many letters to him if it weren't for Soo? They don't even like each other that much.

OMG a baby. At least something came out of their relationship but I got sad that Soo wasn't able to be with her baby for a longer time. They weren't able to get a reunion with So even for a short while. It could've been a better ending.

Hae Soo's death broke my heart. After all that thing about wanting to live, she still died at the end. Sure, she had many years of pain and heartache but still she wasn't able to get her happy ending. It could've been expanded in the present time but why did it have to end in a cliffhanger after she remembered So????

So meeting her daughter and figuring out that she's his daughter made me happy! I'm glad that he removed Jung's exile even if it was only for the sake of seeing his daughter.

The ending broke me. It was a cliffhanger but at least some hope were given. Soo remembered So and So could have been reincarnated and they could be together. I hope there will be some short extra just to give a better ending.

I really like all the cast of this show. I liked their acting and it made me appreciate the drama more. It's my first time watching Lee Joon Gi and IU and I was impressed by their acting. I hope to see more of their kdrama in the future.

NON-SPOILERY REVIEW: So many things happened in this book. Terrible things and amazing things. Some parts made me happy and some parts made me really sad. Every character was entertaining to read about. They were given backstories that made you really appreciate them. Every scene was interesting and VE Schwab's writing is really amazing. The way it was written was beautiful and it is easy and fast to read. Overall, this series is worth the read. Waiting for each book seemed really worth it after reading the final one.

I was really having a hard time reading the scene where Rhy died. It made me almost cry and seeing Alucard there along with Emira made things so much worse. It was a very heartbreaking scene.
Calla's death was something I knew would hurt me so much. When the people were being overtaken, I was worried for Calla. I love that woman. I love how she shipped Kell and Lila together and even though she didn't witness it, I'm glad she got what she wanted. I felt terrible for Lila when she found out that Calla had turn into ash. It was very heartbreaking because you could see that Lila cared for her and it broke her heart to find out that Calla is dead.
Anisa's death was another heartbreaking thing to read. You could see how much it broke Alucard's heart especially since Anisa fought Osaron. She tried to overcome his darkness but she wasn't strong enough. Also, Jinnar! Jinnar died a meaningless death. I felt bad for Alucard because Anisa was his sister and Jinnar was his friend.
I love the scene where Kell and Lila were kissing and then Alucard interrupted them. It was really funny xD.
The travel to Maris' was a fun adventure. That market is very interesting since it contains a lot of things that could potentially be so powerful. Maris is also an interesting character that knows a lot. It's amazing to know that she's a woman. Also, the favor she asked from Lila! When is that going to be claimed? So many possibilities.
The Antari ring is another cool thing. I am amazed that Holland, Lila, and Kell were able to trust each other enough to use it. It's amazing when they used it to defeat Osaron. Their teamwork and efforts were amazing.
I hated the scene where Kell burned the piece of paper containing the spell to remove the lock from his memories! We want to know what really happened, why he was given away and who his parents were.
Drunk Lila is funny.
Lenos and Hastra death broke me. Especially since Lenos died without a proper reason. At least Hastra died protecting Kell. Those were really heartbreaking scenes even though they were minor characters, they made the story really entertaining and they crept up to your heart.
I really thought that Emira wasn't going to die. I thought that Rhy blocking Col was enough. I never thought that she would die. It was really heartbreaking especially since Rhy tried his best so that no harm will come to her. You could also see that Maxim was really heartbroken by her death. He was his match and it hurt him to see her go.
It's great that Rhy became King but the reason why he became King was really terrible. It broke my heart that he lost his parents at the same time and neither Kell nor Alucard was there to comfort him. You could see that he's a great king because he prioritized his kingdom over his grief. You could see how much he cared for his people during the times that he went out to save the silvers.
The king's death was really noble. It was heartbreaking especially knowing how it would affect Rhy, but you could see that the king really tried to defend his kingdom and faced Osaron bravely. Even though it was in vain.
I really thought the Faro were the traitors. It shocked me to find out that the princess and prince of Vesk were the real traitor. Especially since Cora spent time with Rhy. But there's still something fishy about the Faroans since according to Jasta, she was ordered by Lord Sol to kill Kell. What's up with that?
Jasta was really a bitch. She even killed her own shipmates because of her own greed. I'm glad that she's dead but she killed Hastra!!! That bitch.
What's up with Grey London? I feel like something's gonna go down there since they were included in the book. The King there acted weird after he encountered the shadow that Ned tried to get rid off. Also, since the inheritor is in Grey London would someone find it and release Osaron?
Who is Nasi and why was her character introduced? I am curious if she's someone significant in the future.
I really liked the ending. Rhy and Alucard were able to stay together. Kell and Lila were able to travel the world. It was a perfect ending. However, I wasn't satisfied. I could feel that there were still many unanswered questions that could be dealt with in a spin-off series. I am excited to know if there is going to be one! I hope so.
I really like Alucard and Rhy together. They were beautiful together. Reading about their romance is one of the main reason I love this series. I love that they were able to resolve their issues. I felt really bad when I found out why Rhy left. Damn, his father and his brother. I am really happy that they were together in the end but it got me thinking about what would happen in the future since Rhy obviously needed an heir since he's the king? Oh well, who cares - he's the king!
Rhy and Kell's brotherhood was really amazing. Even though they weren't related by blood, you could see and feel how much they cared for one another. Kell's over protectiveness of Rhy with Alucard was really something big for him because when Alucard left, Rhy got really heartbroken. I love seeing their interactions together. I wanted them to be together during the journey but seeing as Rhy is the king, he can't really come with Kell.
Emira and Kell's relationship was something that was complicated and broke my heart. I am annoyed at Emira for how he treated Kell but you could see that it was for Rhy. I was glad when they reconciled before Kell left but it was heartbreaking that Kell never got to be welcomed by her again.
Kell and Lila were adorable together. I am glad that in the end they got to be together. It's adorable to see how their relationship developed and how Lila even though she was reluctant at first, she let Kell in. Their random kisses and flirting were fun and entertaining to read.
I really love all of the characters in this series. I love seeing their character being explored more and reading about them was really nice.
I really really find Lila amazing. She's an amazing and fierce character that you would totally cheer on all throughout the book. I love how her relationship with Kell developed and how in the end, she became the captain of the Night Spire. It's amazing to find out that she's an Antari and the scene where she got a new Antari eye was so cool! However, there's still the unsolved issue of where she came from. Her past is still mystery and I would really like to get to know her more if ever a spin-off series is created.
I really really feel bad for Holland. Sure I hated him for almost killing Rhy with what he did and letting Osaron in Red London but deep inside he just wanted his London to get better. He wanted to become the proper king that place needs. It was very heartbreaking to read about his past. How each and everyone he loved and cared for either betrayed him or was murdered. I hate the scene where Vor died because you could see that it broke Holland. The Dane twins were really evil characters that deserved what they got. He redeemed himself in the end and even though he died, I think he got what he wanted. He finally had his rest which was heartbreaking but I am happy for him.
I like the fact that Alucard could see threads of magic. It's amazing. I also love his character. His backstory is quite sad especially since he did love Rhy and his family was the reason they got separated. I love his interactions with Kell and Lila. His fight with Kell because of Rhy was fun to read. His care for Lila is really genuine and you could see that they really bonded. I love how brave he is during the scene where he would have fought with the Vesk just to protect the kingdom.
I really really love Rhy. He's an amazing character that did not deserve the hard things that happened to him. I found it cool that he can't die (although it's the reason for that is very terrible). I find him brave and admirable for what he did throughout the series. I am happy that he got his happy ending with Alucard in the end.
I love Kell even though he's quite moody. I love how much he cares for others even though at times he thought that they didn't care the same way. I love that he got his happy ending and freedom at the end. He's an amazing character and it's quite sad to know that his powers sort of lessened in the end because it was almost got sucked in the inheritor.
